Dedicated to Yamato-takeru-no-mikoto's "Kusanagi-no-mitsurugi" sacred sword which is one of Three Sacred Treasures.

Toyokuni Jinja Shrine at Nakamura Park

Dedicated to Tyotomi Hideyoshi. The big Torii gate (PHOTO) is 24m (79ft) high.


Togan-Ji Temple at eastern Nagoya

Dedicated to Oda Nobuhide. His son Oda Nobunaga was killed at Honno-Ji Temple just before rule over Japan in 1582.
Great Buddha (PHOTO) is 10m (33ft) tall.


Yagoto Kosho-Ji Temple at eastern Nagoya

Constructed in 1688 and the five-story pagoda (PHOTO) was constructed in 1808.


Kakuozan Nittai-Ji Temple at eastern Nagoya

The only non sect Buddhism temple in Japan, and dedicated to Buddha's bones and ashes from Thailand.
Constructed in 1904 and the five-story pagoda (PHOTO) was constructed in 1997.


Osu Kannon (Shinpuku-Ji) Temple at Osu, central Nagoya

Originally constructed in 1324 by Godaigo Emperor, and moved to the current place in 1612 by Tokugawa Ieyasu.

Osu Bansho-Ji Temple at central Nagoya

Constructed in 1540 by Oda Nobuhide. His son Oda Nobunaga was killed at Honno-Ji Temple just before rule over Japan in 1582.
